The Pitch & Rules
The historical Jiang Wang Sports Stadium is a massive arena that can hold 2 full pitch's side by side with plenty of space for teams and spectators to enjoy. It is our goal to provide the best quality facility and playing field that Shanghai has to offer! The pictures reveal a little about the pitch conditions.
Rules
The participating teams will be placed in 2 groups of x teams, decided by draw.
Duration of each game will be 2 x 20 min with 5 min brake during the 1st day and 2 x 20 min with 5 min brake during 2nd day.
The two best teams in each group proceed to the Cup Finals.
No. 3 from each group will advance directly to the Plate Finals.
In case the Cup has a total of 10 participating teams No. 4 and No. 5 will play a qualifying game to advance to the Plate Finals.
In case the Cup has less than 10 participating teams No.3 and 4 from each group will advance directly to the Plate final.
Both the Cup and the Plate Final play off are played on a knock out system with semi-finals and finals.
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 1 additional point for three or more goals scored in one game.
In case of 2 or more teams tied on points the goal difference will decide position.
In case of even goal difference most scored goals will decide position.
If still even positions will be decided by toss of a coin.
If the deciding matches in the knock-out system, and qualifying games end in a draw a 5 player penalty shoot out takes place immediately after the match. If still a draw sudden death penalty shoot out.
If the Cup Final or Plate Final is a draw a deciding 10 minutes Sudden Death will be played. If still a draw after 10 minutes, the match will be decided by penalty shoot out as described above.
Exceptions from FIFA rules
There is free substitutions. A team can only make substitution when they have a dead ball situation except in case of injury.
Yellow card. A player who receives a yellow card must leave the field for a 10 minute cool down period before he can play again. The player can be substituted so the team will still consist of 11 players on the field. He needs the referees permission before reentering the field. In case the player receives a 2nd yellow card in the same match this equals a Red Card and he must leave the field for the rest of the match and can not be substituted.
